None of the nine major FDA allergens

Cheesecake Factory dishes free of the FDA Big-9 allergens

By , EditorReviewed Menu checked How this is sourced

For guests navigating multiple food allergies, the working question is almost never 'what can I have?' but 'what is safe to consider before I ask the kitchen?'. This page answers that: it lists every dish whose published recipe carries none of the nine major FDA-designated allergens. Milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy and sesame are all excluded. Gluten is treated as a tenth column because wheat and gluten diverge in practice.

What to watch for on the allergen-free menu

Absence from a recipe is not the same as absence from the kitchen. The Cheesecake Factory operates shared prep surfaces, shared fryers and shared grill space; a dish tagged clear of an allergen can still pick up trace exposure. For any severe allergy, this page is a starting shortlist, not a clearance. Notify your server, tell the manager, and ask about preparation surfaces before ordering.

How this list is built

A dish appears only when the manufacturer's allergen file returns zero flags across the Big-9 plus gluten. Items missing any published allergen data are excluded so we do not silently miss a warning. When a recipe changes, the list updates on the next data refresh.

FAQ

Common questions

Is this list safe for a severe allergy?
Treat it as a shortlist, not a green light. The dishes here have no listed Big-9 allergen in their published recipe. Because the kitchen is shared, cross-contact is possible; anaphylactic guests should confirm preparation with the manager on duty before ordering.
Why is gluten counted separately from wheat?
Wheat is one of the FDA Big-9. Gluten is a separate protein family that also occurs in rye, barley and some sauces. A dish can be wheat-free but still contain gluten, or gluten-free but contain other allergens. We flag both.
Where is sesame on the list?
Sesame became the ninth FDA-designated major allergen in 2023 and is treated the same as milk or peanuts. Dishes containing sesame are excluded from this page.
What about the allergen page I saw earlier?
The allergen guide breaks the menu apart by individual allergen and lets you see which dishes contain each one. This page is the inverse: the intersection of dishes that contain none of them.
