Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CFG Menu Guide ("we", "us", "our"), operating the website thecheesecakefactorymenu.us (the "Site"), collects, uses, and shares information about visitors.

1. Who we are

CFG Menu Guide is an independent editorial reference site about the publicly available menu, nutrition, allergen, and location information of The Cheesecake Factory restaurant chain. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated. The Site is operated by an independent publisher and is funded by third-party advertising. Questions about this policy can be sent to privacy@thecheesecakefactorymenu.us.

2. Information we collect

We do not require you to create an account to read this Site. Information is collected in the following ways:

  • Server logs. Our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard request data such as your IP address, user agent, referring URL, requested page, and timestamp. This is used for security, abuse prevention, and diagnostics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. The Site itself sets no cookies of its own. The third-party services described in Section 4 - including Google AdSense and Google Analytics - set their own cookies or similar identifiers on your device.
  • Information you send us. If you email us, or use the form on our Contact page, we receive your name, your email address, the content of your message, and any page URL you include, so that we can reply. Form submissions are delivered to our inbox by our email delivery provider, Resend. We do not add you to any marketing list.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

3. How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, and secure the Site.
  • To understand which pages are popular so we can improve editorial coverage.
  • To display advertising that keeps the Site free to read.
  • To respond to messages you send us.
  • To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and prevent abuse.

4. Third-party services, advertising, and cookies

The Site is free to read and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads, and Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. Both set their own cookies. The following disclosures apply:

  • Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices.
  • Third-party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also serve ads on this Site and use their own cookies. You can review the participating networks at aboutads.info and networkadvertising.org/choices.
  • Google's own handling of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Google Analytics. The Site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic - for example, which pages are read, approximate device type and region, and how visitors arrive at the Site. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) and processes data under Google's Privacy Policy. To prevent Analytics from collecting data about your visits, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or block cookies from google-analytics.com and googletagmanager.com in your browser settings.

The Site loads web fonts from Google Fonts, and is served by our hosting provider. Requesting a file from either discloses your IP address and user agent to that service, which is inherent to loading a resource from another host.

5. Managing cookies and consent

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown a consent message before advertising and analytics cookies are set, in line with Google's EU User Consent Policy. You may accept, refuse, or change your choice at any time using the consent control shown on the Site.

Wherever you are, most web browsers also let you refuse or delete cookies through browser settings, and you can use the opt-out links in Section 4 to turn off personalised advertising. Refusing advertising cookies does not stop ads from appearing; it means the ads you see are non-personalised.

6. Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on consent for advertising and analytics cookies, which you give or refuse through the consent message described in Section 5 and may withdraw at any time. We rely on legitimate interests for server logs used to keep the Site available, secure and free of abuse, and for handling correspondence you initiate, so that we can reply to you. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time using the contact details below.

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

The Site does not respond to Do Not Track signals, because there is no common industry standard for them. You can control advertising and analytics cookies using the consent message, the opt-out links in Section 4, or your browser's cookie settings.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the personal information we hold about you, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or receive a copy of your information, and the right to object to certain processing. Residents of California have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request its deletion. We do not sell personal information for money. Personalised advertising may be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law; you can opt out using the Google Ads Settings and industry opt-out links in Section 4. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@thecheesecakefactorymenu.us. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We do not charge a fee for a reasonable request, and we do not discriminate against anyone for making one.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and you believe we have not handled your information properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority. We would appreciate the chance to address the issue first.

9. Data retention and security

Server logs are retained for a limited period sufficient to serve the purposes above and then rotated or deleted. Emails and contact form messages are retained for as long as necessary to handle your request and comply with legal obligations. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

10. International transfers

The Site is hosted on infrastructure that may process data in the United States and other countries, and the third-party services described in Section 4 operate globally. Where required, we and our providers rely on appropriate legal mechanisms for cross-border data transfers.

11. Links to other sites

The Site links to external websites, including The Cheesecake Factory's own pages, and displays advertisements that link to advertisers' websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their policies before providing information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date shown at the top of this page.

13. Contact

Questions or requests can be sent to privacy@thecheesecakefactorymenu.us or the general address hello@thecheesecakefactorymenu.us. You can also use the Contact page.
