Cheesecake Factory Gluten-Free: What the Allergen List Actually Says
There is no printed gluten-free menu. There is per-dish allergen data, and it answers a narrower question than most people are asking. Here is the honest version.

Short answer
The Cheesecake Factory does not publish a gluten-free menu. It publishes allergen data per dish, and 66 dishes list neither gluten nor wheat among their allergens. That means the recipe does not contain gluten. It does not mean the dish is prepared away from gluten, and the kitchen is not a dedicated gluten-free environment.
Two different people search this. One is avoiding gluten by choice or for a mild sensitivity, and wants a list. The other has coeliac disease, and a list is not what they need. This page tries to serve both without pretending they are the same question.
What the allergen data covers
Allergen information is published for 384 dishes. Of those, 66 list neither gluten nor wheat. A further 70 items have no allergen data published at all we leave those out rather than guessing, so the real number of gluten-free-by-recipe dishes may be slightly higher than the count above.

If you have coeliac disease
The honest position is that this is a large, busy, full-service kitchen with shared equipment, and no restaurant of that type can offer you a guarantee. What it can offer is a conversation with someone who knows the kitchen.
- Say it at the host stand, before you are seated. Not to the server after you have read the menu.
- Ask for the manager. Servers relay; managers change what the kitchen does.
- Name the requirement plainly coeliac, medical, not a preference. That distinction changes how the order is handled.
- Avoid anything fried. Shared fryers are the highest-risk item on the menu and no preparation change fixes it.
- Ask for a clean pan and clean utensils explicitly. It is a normal request and kitchens handle it routinely.
- Skip dessert. There is no gluten-free option in the case, and the bakery counter is not a separate environment.
Where gluten hides on this menu
- Soy sauce, in the Asian-influenced dishes and dressings. Standard soy sauce contains wheat.
- Gravies and cream sauces, which are commonly flour-thickened.
- Croutons and tortilla strips on salads easy to leave off, easy for the kitchen to forget.
- Marinades, which are the least visible source and the one people miss.
- The bread service, which arrives before you order anything at all. Ask for it not to be brought.
- Shared fryer oil, which affects every fried item regardless of its own recipe.
Dessert
There is no gluten-free cheesecake. Every flavour in the case has a crust, and the crust contains wheat. The fresh strawberries are the only dessert on the menu that is gluten-free by recipe, and even that arrives from a kitchen handling everything else.

Nothing on this page is medical advice, and none of it replaces speaking to the restaurant. It is a starting point for a conversation at the table, which is where the actual decision gets made.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does The Cheesecake Factory have a gluten-free menu?
- Not a printed one. It publishes allergen data for each dish instead, and 66 dishes list neither gluten nor wheat. There is no separate menu to ask for.
- Is The Cheesecake Factory safe for coeliac disease?
- It is not a dedicated gluten-free kitchen. Fryers, grills and prep surfaces are shared, so cross-contact is possible on any dish regardless of its recipe. Anyone with coeliac disease should speak to a manager before ordering rather than relying on a list.
- Is the cheesecake gluten-free?
- No. Every cheesecake in the case has a crust containing wheat. There is no gluten-free cheesecake on the menu.
- Are the fries gluten-free?
- The potato is, the fryer is not. Shared fryers are the single most common source of gluten exposure in a restaurant like this, and it applies to every fried item on the menu.
- What can I actually order?
- Grilled fish and steaks without a sauce, plain grilled chicken, most salads without croutons and with the dressing checked, and steamed vegetables. Speaking to the kitchen is what turns those from probably into confirmed.
